Zodia Custody has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from Luxembourg's financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. This authorization allows the firm to provide regulated digital asset custody services across all European Union member states.

The institutional-focused custodian, backed by major financial institutions including Standard Chartered and National Australia Bank, underscores its commitment to compliance. Sophie Bowler, Zodia's chief risk and compliance officer, framed the approval as a milestone for institutional crypto adoption.

The company simultaneously announced the appointment of Daniel Soriano as authorized manager in Luxembourg, strengthening its leadership team with European regulatory expertise. Zodia maintains multiple global registrations, including with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority and Ireland's central bank.
